| Function Description | Analysis demonstrated that SNHG6 expression was significantly increased in ESCC tissues, and associated with tumor size (P=0.040) and Tumor-Node-Metastasis stage (P<0.01). Knockdown of SNHG6 may inhibit proliferative and colony-forming abilities, and induce apoptosis, in ESCC cells. To the best of our knowledge, the data from the present study indicated for the first time that SNHG6 was upregulated in ESCC tissues and cell lines. This novel lncRNA may exert a marked effect on the generation and progression of ESCC, potentially providing a novel perspective on ESCC diagnosis and management. |
