Cancer&Entry Information
Cancer Name | nasopharyngeal cancer |
ICD-0-3 | C11 |
Methods | RT-qPCR, Dual Luciferase Reporter Gene Assay, RIP, Western blot analysis |
Sample | NPC tissues,The 5-8F NPC cell line with high tumorigenicity and high metastatic potential, 6-10B NPC cell line without metastatic potential, highly differentiated nasopharyngeal squamous carcinoma cell line CNE-1, poorly differentiated nasopharyngeal squamous carcinoma cell lines CNE-2 and HONE-1, and immortalized nasopharyngeal epithelial cells NP69 |
Expression Pattern | up-regulated |
Function Description | High expression of SMAD5-AS1 and SMAD5 but low miR-195 expression was determined in NPC tissues and NPC cell lines.Downregulation of SMAD5-AS1 or SMAD5 or overexpression of miR-195 led to inhibited NPC cell proliferation, invasion and migration and reversed EMT, enhanced apoptosis in vitro as well as restrained tumor growth in vivo. |
