| Function Description | MALAT1 expression was significantly increased in NSCLC samples compared with expression in adjacent non-cancerous tissues. Furthermore, the expression of MALAT1 in patients with NSCLC that exhibited recurrence was markedly higher than in those that did not. The results of the present study also demonstrated significant associations between high expression of MALAT1 and female sex, Tumor-Node-Metastasis advanced stage, vessel invasion, pathological differentiation and recurrence of patients with NSCLC. The proliferative, migratory and invasive abilities of MALAT1-silenced A549 cells were significantly decreased compared with those of control cells. |
