Cancer&Entry Information
Cancer Name | cervical cancer |
ICD-0-3 | C53 |
Methods | qPCR, Western blot, etc. |
Sample | cervical cancer tissues, cervical cancer cell lines SiHa, HeLa, Caski, C4-1 and C-33a, a normal cervical epithelium cell (NC104) and 293T cell |
Expression Pattern | up-regulated |
Function Description | By comparing with the expression level in corresponding ones, the LUCAT1 expression level in cervical cancer samples was significantly higher. Moreover, expression level of LUCAT1 was negatively correlated with patients overall survival time. In addition, after LUCAT1 was overexpressed, cell proliferation, cell invasion and migration capacities were promoted in vitro. In addition, the mRNA and protein expressions of MTA1 were upregulated after LUCAT1 was overexpressed. Furthermore, it was found that the expression level of MTA1 was positively related to LUCAT1 expression level in cervical cancer tissues. CONCLUSIONS: We showed that LUCAT1 could enhance proliferation, invasion and migration of cervical cancer cells through upregulating MTA1 |
