| Function Description | Taken together, our results demonstrate that LINC00461 is important for glioma progression affecting cell proliferation, migration and invasion via MAPK/ERK, PI3K/AKT, and possibly other signaling pathways. The PI3K/AKT signaling pathway plays fundamental roles in regulating cellular processes such as cell proliferation, survival, and migration [53]. Our studies found that LINC00461 positively affects both MAPK/ERK and PI3K/AKT pathways. CyclinD1 binds to CDK4 and CDK6 (cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6) to phosphorylate retinoblastoma protein and activate the transcription factor E2F-1. In this study, we have found that LINC00461 regulates miRNA miR-9, which is the mature form of miR-9-2 gene. The sequence of miR-9-2 is included in the sequence of LINC00461. |
