| Function Description | FAM201A is aberrantly elevated in tissues from patients with non-small cell lung cancer. High levels of FAM201A expression were more likely to present in patients with squamous type, M1 stage, and inferior overall survival. Differential expression was found between non-metastatic and metastatic squamous carcinoma, but not in adenocarcinoma. FAM201A knockdown inhibits cell proliferation, migration, and invasion of LSCC cells in vitro, and represses tumor growth in vivo. Furthermore, ABCE1 in LSCC cells was downregulated by silencing FAM201A. The tissue level of ABCE1 was positively correlated with FAM201A expression in patients with LSCC. |
